As I always say: Traveling can absolutely change your life.
It’ll turn your beliefs, your ideas, your concept of life and your perception of the world around and upside-down. You will discover the beauty this world has to offer, you will meet amazing and inspiring people and- most importantly- learn about yourself in ways you might never have thought possible.
The book project
The book project „The Trip That Changed My Life“ is about just that. It is actually a compilation of stories from 80 travelers from all over the world who tell their own personal stories about just that. How traveling has changed them and their entire worlds.
The project, which was initiated and created by the wonderful Hung Thai from the blog „Up Up And A Bear“, will be crowd-funded and all funds raised will be donated to charities Unbound and Save The Children.
I am so excited and honored to be part of this amazing project, because I believe that traveling is the best way to broaden our minds and let us connect in ways we wouldn’t otherwise. Projects like these and traveling itself bring people from all over the world together. They show that by joining forces and collaborating with each other, we can create the most incredible things and change the world for the better bit by bit.
The Trip that changed my life
The trip that changed my life was not actually very extraordinary or extreme or drastic in any way. Since then I have had many trips, some alone, some with others, that have changed me and my life fundamentally. To me though that first trip was life-changing, because it opened my eyes to what was out there- the simple beauties, the kindness and uniqueness of strangers and the feeling of freedom. It was my first ever camping trip, my first time being out in nature and on the road.
Here I want to give a little sneak peak of what my story for the book will be about by sharing some impressions with you from the trip that changed my life back in 2010.
To find out more about the project visit our Facebook page and sign up on Indiegogo to support us and be the first to know when the book will be available. The project launches on Indiegogo on May 22nd, so sign up before then and get 10% off!
